No, I am not referring to the way I felt after two nights of not sleeping (sick baby). I am talking about the wonderful playplace in Columbia, Going Bonkers! The original plan was for my mom & I to take both kiddos to this place (it would only cost $7 total for all four of us!!). However, Matthew was quite sick so he stayed home with grandma. Nicholas & I had a blast - he even convinced me to climb with him. It was slightly scary - was I too big? would it all come crashing down? would we get trapped up high? It was tight quarters, but a lot of fun. He thought it was hilarious that he was so much faster than me! My old body is not so flexible anymore! We stayed for two hours, but easily could have stayed longer! Hopefully we'll go back some day... Here are some pictures so you can get an idea...

8 months old!
Here are some 8 month pictures of Matthew! It's hard to believe he's already that old! It seems like just yesterday... He is still pretty attached to Mommy or Daddy, so he doesn't enjoy playing by himself much. He does like watching his big brother, so we can usually leave those two together for a few minutes! He is very sweet, giving kisses all the time. Grandma got a million over the past few days! We *think* he has learned to wave. If you say "bye, bye" and wave to him, he flaps his arms in response, and sometimes opens and closes his fingers in his palm. Matthew loves to eat, whether it's the baby food Mommy made or table food like the rest of the family! (Maybe that's why he's over 20 pounds???) He's working on crawling (can't get that tummy off the ground very easily) and standing (he can stand on his own for a very few seconds - he's getting pretty brave). He rolls over often in his crib and winds up in very odd positions! Matthew was sick for the 1st time in his young life... while in Columbia visitng Gma & Gpa, he got quite sick during the night & continued for a day or so. Strangely, his spirits were good! When Nicholas is sick, he is feverish & lethargic - this kiddo couldn't be more different! He was happy, jumping around, content as always... Thankfully he's on the mend!

BIG NEWS!!!
Yes, it's true! Matthew FINALLY got his first tooth today! Most of you know that the kid has been drooling up a storm since 2 months old, gnawing on everything in sight for months, and sucking on his lower lip FOREVER! We've been sure since THANKSGIVING that his first tooth was just around the corner! Boy, were we wrong! Teething lasts forever! This afternoon, Jason was rubbing Matthew's sore gums & was shocked to feel a TOOTH! Maybe THAT'S why he took such a great nap today!

Elmo's Green Thumb
Last night we took Nicholas & Matthew to see Elmo's Green Thumb at Sprint Center. Here are some pics from the event. Nicholas loved the show, but started to get a bit antsy at the end. Matthew wasn't so sure at first, it was quite loud & dark! After munching on a tortilla for about 10 minutes, he was ready to enjoy the show!
